If you or a family member have a disability, please consult the Ota City Hall Social Support Division (0276-47-1111). By obtaining a certificate, you can receive various support such as medical expenses, transportation fees, and taxes.

You automatically join at 75. Your insurance card is mailed to you—no action required.

Free health checkups for NHI members aged 40-74. Apply at City Hall or online when you receive your checkup voucher.

If medical expenses are high, apply for the 'High-Cost Medical Care Benefit' or get a 'Maximum Copayment Certificate' in advance to limit your out-of-pocket expenses to the maximum amount.

After getting a job and receiving your company's health insurance card, please complete the procedures to withdraw from National Health Insurance at the City Hall. If you forget, you will pay double insurance premiums.
